Iconic African trade beads in multicoloured, barrel-shaped beads with layers stripes. African glass from the Venetian glassmakers and traded in Africa in the 19th to early 20 centuries. Thus making this stunning necklace as a collectable. Krobo beads, made in Ghana from recycled glass giving an earthy texture and an organic feel. African seed beads interwoven throughout add contrast and rhythm. The bright reds, greens, yellow, white, blue and orange evokes a joyful festive energy typical of African adornments.
